WHAT TO EXPECT FROM BEN SIMMONS IN BROOKLYN?

Earlier in the season before the trade deadline, James Harden was traded from Brooklyn along with Paul Millsap to the 76ers for Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and an assortment of draft picks. And with Simmons holding out of the regular season racking up fines and refusing to do anything associated with the 76ers other than participating in practice, the front office scrambled looking for offers for the 2016 first-round pick out of LSU. Finally, when the trade happened it paired up All-Stars and former NBA Champions Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant with Simmons. And while the trade happened on February 10th, it took 15 days for Harden to make his debut with Philadelphia and Simmons has yet to make his Nets debut due to back soreness. However, while the Nets have many scorers and mid-range to three-point shooters, Simmons brings a pass-first kind of mentality to a team that is lacking their other two stars with Durant out due to an MCL sprain and Kyrie not being able to play at home, however, both are due to change soon. But with Simmons staying consistent on scoring, he should be able to utilize his defensive skills and offensive to help the Nets on a deep playoff run.
