June 3, 2019, was the day that changed Arizona Diamondbacks’ history. What’s so special about that day, you ask? The Dbacks drafted a young man out of a local high school in Seattle, Washington. Who is it? Your 2023 NL Rookie of the Year, Corbin Carroll. Carroll is the only rookie in MLB History with 25+ HRs and 50+ SBs, which he achieved in 2023—the first bold prediction for the 2024 Arizona Diamondbacks season. Corbin Carroll finishes the season with 40+ HRs, 70+ Stolen Bases, and finishes top 3 in NL MVP voting.
#2 – Gallen has 20+ Wins and wins the NL Cy Young

The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired Zac Gallen on July 31, 2019. Gallen has improved his numbers every season with the Dbacks since. Gallen made a massive leap in his dominance during 2022 and 2023.
Now, Gallen didn’t have the best postseason for the Dbacks in 2023, but in numerous interviews, he has stated how disappointed he was regarding that. Gallen is a cerebral pitcher, so I expect Gallen to make another massive leap in 2024. Gallen will Finish with 20+ wins and will win the NL Cy Young. Gallen did miss out on the Cy Young in 2023, and I believe he will get over the hump and win the award in 2024.
#3 – Brandon Pfaadt has a breakout season and wins 15+ Games
If you had asked me at the All-Star Break in 2023 who is the best postseason pitcher for the Dbacks, I would say Gallen easily. Then probably Kelly. Nope, the best pitcher for the Dbacks in the 2023 postseason was the rookie Brandon Pfaadt. He started the clinching game vs the Dodgers in Game 3 of the NLDS. He was the starter in the pivotal Game 3 in the NLCS, where the Dbacks won in walk-off fashion; he was also the starter in the Win and went home Game 7 in Philly to clinch the NL Pennant. So, what’s the bold prediction for Pfaddt? He will win 15+ Games and have a breakout season.
#4 – Ketel Marte wins NL Batting Title

Ketel Marte was the best player in NL Playoffs!! He had a hit streak of 20 games!! It started in the 2017 season, which was four games. So the 2023 postseason alone was a 16-game streak, tied for 3rd all-time. Marte, in the 2023 Playoffs, batted .329. Had the Dbacks won the World Series, I would say Marte was the best player in the entire playoffs, but not winning the ultimate goal of the World Series hinders that statement. Marte has carried over his stellar play to Spring Training in 2024! Hitting .442 in 43 ABs. So, here is a bold prediction for Marte for 2024. He finishes 1st in Batting Average and wins the NL Batting Title!!
#5 – Christian Walker finishes with 30+ HRs and 100+ RBI
So, a bit more down-to-the-earth prediction for the 2024 Dbacks: Christian Walker will finish the season with 30+ HRs and 100+ RBI. I understand he did that last year, but Walker has been the most underrated player in MLB for the previous two seasons. He has the Gold Glove at 1B in the NL the last two seasons, and it isn’t even a competition; he has been the BEST DEFENSIVE 1st BASEMEN IN THE NL!!
