The Ravens have had a tough year. With the start of the season losing most of their starting secondary to season-ending injuries. The Ravens were probably the team that had the most key injuries dealt with them along with a growing AFC North division. Head Coach John Harbaugh is an elite coach with a well-balanced team that is only a few free-agent acquisitions from having a playoff-caliber team ready to make a push in the off-season. One of the things that hurt them was for 3 weeks in a row they relied ongoing for the 2 point conversion and failing to capitalize, losing those key games. If Lamar can stay healthy, look for Baltimore to be a key piece in the AFC title picture for years to come.
Offense: WR Chris Godwin
Defense: Melvin Ingram
While I do admit that I’m not the biggest Justin Herbert fan, the young quarterback has shown that he can be an elite quarterback if given the right pieces. With key players like Austin Ekeler and Keenan Allen, the Chargers were shy of a playoff spot due to key losses in their division notably an overtime loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in week 18 with the final playoff spot on the line. While the offense is more complete than the defense, the offense still has some needs especially when those injuries add up and you need the next player to step up.
Offense: TE Dalton Schultz
Defense: S Jabrill Peppers
The way the Colts have slowly turned around this team, coming off a stellar season where Jonathan Taylor was the top back in the league and a favorite to win MVP or offensive player of the year. With a superb performance in week 11 against the Bills, with Jonathan Taylor scoring 5 total touchdowns with 4 rushing and 1 receiving. The Colts have a top 10 offensive line but the chemistry doesn’t seem to be there, allowing 32 sacks for the year on 156 blitz plays. The Colts have the pieces necessary but only time will tell what they can do with it.
Offense: WR Odell Beckham Jr
Defense: DT Gerald McCoy
While Kirk Cousins has been consistent, the Vikings should look at getting a younger quarterback that can sit on the bench for a few seasons to learn from Cousins and get a sense of what an exceptional leader he is and why he is still one of the underrated quarterbacks in the league. The Defense has had a few misses but have been trying to climb and be a top tier defense that gives offenses chills. But with Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson in the offense for years to come, the Vikings should have a good chance at winning the divison and clinching a playoff birth especially with the possibility of Rodgers leaving the Packers this off season. Only thing on the defense I would change is bringing another cornerback to help Patrick Peterson, Xavier Woods and the secondary.
Offense: LT Nate Solder
Defense: CB Jason McCourty
The Browns have had quite the Cinderella story, from being one of the least successful teams in the league to be in talks about being a playoff-caliber team with some promising pieces. Baker Mayfield while not being able to stay healthy, has shown promise as an elite quarterback and a fan favorite with his stats steadily going up more and more as he gains experience. Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb have been a deadly duo when both are healthy with almost 3,000 rushing yards combined while missing a significant amount of games. The Browns do have the pieces to win but injuries will always haunt them until they can bring in key pieces to be pivotal for the upcoming season.
Offense: OT Jason Kelce
Defense: S Tyrann Mathieu
