ITS GETTING HOT IN THE DESERT

The Arizona Diamondbacks are on fire as of late, winners of 8 of the last 10 outings with a win tomorrow night the Diamondbacks will have 2 series sweeps to start off the month of May. Today’s victory marked manager Torey Luvollo’s 354th win making him the winningest manager is franchise history.

The Diamondbacks are starting the month of May off in a blaze, holding the Marlins to 3 runs on 9 hits after giving up 2 in the first inning. The D-backs were able to score multiple runs in 3 of the 9 innings Tuesday night, knocking in 2 in the 1st 4 in the 3rd and 3 more to close them out in the 8th inning.

The Marlins walked 2 in the first inning allowing Jordan Luplow to knock in Cooper Hummel with a Homerun 2 Left field. In the Third inning the Diamondback bats went to work Ahmed, Perdomo both knocked in an RBI, while the Diamondbacks number one Prospect Alek Thomas picked up his first big league RBI.

The Diamondbacks are currently sitting at 4.5 games back from the first place LA Dodgers, sporting the 2nd longest win streak in the division. The diamondbacks have a chance to make a strong push towards the top of the division in the month of May, but it will not be easy with 12 games over the next 12 days with a 4-game series against the division leading LA Dodgers, and 7 games against the Chicago Cubs.

The month of May could play a big factor in the way this season goes. Torey Luvollo breaking the franchise record for wins, Alek Thomas picking up his first big league RBI, and the 3-game win streak were enough to work the Dbacks out of the bottom of the division, now if they can put together a few more wins over the next two weeks we could be having a totally different conversation a week from now with the Diamondbacks fighting for the top spot in the west.
