JORGE MASVIDAL POSTS $15,000 MIAMI JAIL BAIL AFTER BEING RELEASED FROM CUSTODY

UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal has been released after he paid $15.000 on bail to be released from Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami prison. From how he reacted after his altercation with Colby Covington outside Papi’s Steak in Miami, considering how eager he was to expose himself as the culprit on social media almost immediately. It was rather strange seeing Jorge leaving the correctional Centre with a mob of men gathered around him, protecting him from any reporters’ insight.

Masvidal was charged with one count of aggravated battery resulting in great bodily harm and one count of criminal mischief after onsight attacking Colby Covington damaging his teeth and the Rolex watch he was wearing. This was alleged and when it happened Colby immediately identified Jorge because his curly hair seeped through the hooded top he was wearing.

Bail was set at $15,000.

“Mr. Masvidal will allow this matter to proceed through the court and does not have any further comment at this time,” attorney Dave Kubiliun told news outlet WPLG Local 10.

Fellow UFC veteran Rafael dos Anjos was not impressed or happy with what Masvidal had done

“You’re either a ‘BMF’ or you’re a sucker puncher. Can’t be both,”

“Dana White, time to hand that belt to me.”

UFC 272 headliner back on March 5th earlier this month saw both Colby and Jorge former best friends, training partners, and roommates face off against one another, to see who was the king of Miami, as in the build-up both men had a lot to say and it was a build-up of feverous proportions at the T – Mobile Arena in Las Vegas that evening.

Masvidal ended up losing a one-sided wrestling display from Colby Covington where Masvidal wasn’t ever able to get off much offense other than one glimpse of hope when he dropped Colby to one knee late in the fight. Otherwise soundly controlled throughout with even Colby having moments on the feet where he looked like the stronger fighter.

These were the events leading up to the altercation at Papi’s Steak house in Miami where after Jorge Masvidal was arrested.
