OFFENSIVE COORDINATORS THAT WILL BECOME HEAD COACHES AFTER THE 2022-2023 SEASON

With all the head coaches’ vacancies being filled a few weeks ago, this allows me to take a look towards the next offseason to see which teams are going to look at offensive coordinators to bring in a new Head Coach.

Eric Bieniemy to the San Francisco 49ers

Even though Eric was brought back to the highly explosive Chiefs offense, with him being able to control an offense that can score as much as Mahomes and crew have been able to be always going to be called into interviews for Head Coach vacancies. And in my opinion, the 49ers are the best choice for him. Kyle Shanahan bought himself some leeway with a Super Bowl appearance two years ago, but the fact remains that he could have his fourth losing season in five years if the 49ers don’t improve. The team has a lot invested in Trey Lance but could look toward another offensive mind if the 49ers don’t improve in the second half of the season.

Byron Leftwhich to the Seattle Seahawks

With Tampa Bay’s offense taking a big step with Tom Brady retiring and them having to look for another quarterback, Leftwhich would be great for any head coaching vacancies. One of the highest-scoring offenses in the league last year, which was mainly credited to Leftwhich, Head Coach Bruce Arians, and Brady, it would be ideal for him to go to what is left of the Seattle offense depending on if Russell Wilson decides that he wants to leave the team for another before next season. And while Pete Carroll’s exit wouldn’t be due to inconsistencies with the Seahawks not having a losing season in 10 years other than this year with a 7-10 record but rather due to retirement, Leftwhich is the best choice among coordinators that are over offenses to replace Pete Carrol whenever he decides to retire.
