Running back carousel with JK in question, who steps up for the Ravens?

The running back room for Baltimore has a lot of uncertainty with Dobbins not reporting to camp.

Will JK get a deal done with the Ravens?
JK Dobbins has been more than frustrated with the Baltimore organization with the lack of production based on injury and trust. You can’t blame the ravens for being wary of giving him a contract though being that he’s missed 23 games already in his rookie contract. With his rookie stats totaling 800 yards rushing and nine touchdowns is pretty impressive for a rookie however, being out the following year and only getting 500 yards the next season off
of a ACL injury doesn’t look exactly great on contract negotiations. It’s rumored that JK will not return to the field until a contract is worked out, but he was activated off the PUP list today. Talks between the ravens and JK seems to be going in the right direction.
What’s the depth chart look like without JK?
With Dobbins not yet reporting to training camp the ravens have to assume the worst and move forward with a game plan without him. Gus Edwards seems to be obvious pick to be RB1 however, it’s important to note that Justice Hill got the starting reps in the week one preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Hill also led the team in rushing yards, with 48 yards on 3 attempts. The new addition of running back Melvin Gordon throw an interesting twist on things. I think the Ravens only bring Gordon in as an insurance policy for depth. Then last but not least you have the rookie running backs Owen Wright and Keaton Mitchell. The 3rd string running back spot is completely up for grabs. With two rookies and Gordon, it’s going to be a tough battle that will play out over these next few weeks. Running back Justice Hill stated after the game "I feel like we have the best running back room in the league,”. The running back room and still managed to get 133 yards rushing without JK Dobbins.
